Cedar Shake Roofing
Considered a premium roofing product, Cedar Shake provides a natural look that can increase your home’s curb appeal. The roofing material comes in two varieties:
- Hand-Split- Provides a textured face and a sawn back, creating a lot of visual interest on your home’s roof
- Tapersawn- Sawn on both sides, creating a smooth, imposing look for your home’s roof.
These varieties come in various thicknesses, grades, and lengths, so you can determine what works best for your home. At Landmark Roofing and Siding, we’ve installed Cedar Shake roofs throughout the Puget Sound area for over 15 years and continue to love how it looks in houses of all shapes and sizes. Composition Roofing
If you’re seeking higher durability, composition roofing shingles can deliver high performance to last in more inclement weather. Providing durable, dependable, and affordable protection while looking great— the material is a solid choice for many homeowners. Composition shingles, commonly known as asphalt shingles, come in two categories:
- Organic- Manufactured from cellulose fiber made from recycled paper and wood fibers. This base is saturated with asphalt and given a mineral coating on one side to resist weathering.
- Fiberglass- Instead of an organic core, these shingles have a fiberglass core, which is more flexible and stronger. It is also saturated with asphalt and has a mineral coating.
All composition tables are available in a variety of colors and are rated by overall life expectancy. Across composition roofing shingles, the life expectancy is between 30-50 years. To learn more about this durable roofing material and see examples of our work, you can visit our Composition Roofing page.
Metal Roofing
Available in various styles and colors, metal roofing provides the most durability on the market. A versatile roofing material, it is a popular alternative to roofing materials as it is lightweight, hardy, and can be crafted to give a variety of looks. Coming in either shingles or panels, these roofs have a life expectancy of around 30 years.
However, due to the material, metal roofing does have a higher cost than some other roofing materials. That said, they require little maintenance and have an excellent fire rating. You can learn more and see some of the metal roofing Landmark Roofing and Siding has installed on the Metal Roofing page.
DaVinci Roofscapes
Made from natural-looking synthetic roofing materials, DaVinci Roofscapes engineered polymer materials are permeated with fire retardant and UV and thermal stabilizers specifically formulated for the harsh year-round conditions tiles endure in every climate. This durable roofing material comes in two appearances:

In both these designs, this manufactured material can provide the look and feel of natural beauty, while promising the durability needed for extreme weather conditions.
